I never thought that we would be affected by a storm that was like, a thousand miles away. But we were. Yesterday we had a huge wind storm. I mean huge. We were in church when it started and the lights started to flicker. By the time we left it was getting pretty bad. I was walking out with one of the young men and as soon as we opened the door he said, "It sounds like the Wizard of Oz out here!" Ya know, the part at the first when it has the howling winds? Yeah, it sounded exactly like that. We made it home by about 1 and at 2, the power went out. Luckily I hadn't started dinner yet. I ran to the store to get ice and candles and I came home with $100 worth of lanterns, flashlights and candles. It was worth it. The power still isn't on and word on the street is it will be like a week until it is. The funny thing is, I'm at my friends house right now doing wash. She lives like 1/2 mile away from me. How they got missed, I don't know. Maybe they're more righteous than us.
So I don't know when I'll be back online. I'm already going through withdrawls. I'll have to bug my friend and come over here again to get my fix.

I am so glad you are safe!!! I hate the wind and I am so sorry you don't have power for a week!!! I think my kids would die. We couldn't do their hair and they would freak out :) the love of having girls right. We hope to hear from you soon and I hope all goes well till you have power again.
