Washington

**I did several posts today so don't miss the one's below**
On Friday we moved all our stuff into our house. We also had our first visitors! A bishopric member and his wife, also the RS pres, came to say hello.  They are very nice. We felt very welcomed.  They told us that the ward Christmas party was that night, so we decided to take a break from packing and go meet our new ward family.  It was fun, and really good food!!  This ward is brand new. They rearranged the boundaries less than a month ago, so they're still getting the ward set up.
Saturday night we got a call from that same bishopric member asking if we could come meet with him Sunday before church.  Yep, that's right, we got callings!!  Tyler and I are nursery workers! Didn't see that coming! I was also asked to be the Assistant Activities Day Leader.  I'm excited for that one cuz it was my first calling in our last ward. We can't wait to get to know everyone!
So here's the part our moms have been waiting for.  We absolutely love our new house.  We're just renting for now, but we couldn't be happier with our house and our landlords.  So here's a bunch of pictures.  Keep in mind that we've only been here for four days so it's still a mess.

Kitchen, through the archway is the dining room.

and through the door is the laundry room which leads to the garage.

The door on the left leads to the master bedroom

The door on the left here is the playroom. On the right is an archway you can barely see that goes to the rest of the bedrooms

Hallway. Morgan's room is on the left, then the second bathroom, then a big linen closet. Kayden's room is at the end, just out of view.

 Kayden's room. It's really big.

Playroom. Obviously it's not a priority right now :)

Master, view from doorway.

My favorite feature of the whole house!!

This shed is completely wired and finished inside.  It's like an extra room. Really nice storage.

Window on the left is the playroom.  The door goes into the kitchen nook.

The front right window is Kayden's room.

A Trek Across America

Our moving adventure started on Monday.  Tyler went and got our Uhaul and auto transport trailer that morning.  He parked the trailer across the street in the cul-de-sac and backed the truck into our driveway.  We had hired movers to pack our truck and we are so glad we did.  They knew exactly how to load the puzzle of boxes, furniture and various other items.  While they were loading one of them noticed our auto transport rolling down the street! Why, you ask? The mail lady ran into it with the mail truck!! It actually only rolled about 10 yards and it didn't damage anything(besides the mail truck, hehe), although it barely missed our neighbors mailbox. How she hit it, I don't know, but it makes a good story!

The drama continued when our renter backed out 1/2 hour before she was to come over to get keys, causing problems with utilities, the possibility of pipes freezing, and carpet cleaning appointments.  We sure are grateful for amazing friends who could come over and help us out so we could get on the road!!
We left Indiana at about 4 and stayed the night in Boonville, Missouri. Tyler's mom and sister had flown out a few days before to help us finish packing and drive out.  I can't even tell you how much of a help they were!  I don't know what I would have done without them!
Tuesday morning we were ready to get on the road at about 9:30.  We crossed the street to the gas station and after filling up the car, it wouldn't start!!  We thought it was the starter and after some jiggling it started so we could drive it over to have it fixed. (later on we figured out it wasn't the starter, but a tempermental ignition, an expensive mistake!).
We finally got on the road at 1:30. That night we stayed in North Platte, Nebraska.
The gas station we filled up at on Wednesday morning had a sign that said "You Are Nowhere".  If you've ever driven through Nebraska you know it was a very fitting sign.
Wednesday we made it all the way to Morgan. No problems. It's was a long day. We stayed at my parent's house that night.
Thursday we planned to finish our journey and stay in Washington that night, about 9 or 10 hours.  The kids were so not happy for the first half of the trip. We took an almost 2 hour break, which made our day even longer, but the kids were so much happier.  Since we had dropped off Tyler's mom and sister in Utah, Kayden wanted to ride with Tyler so we put his carseat in the Uhaul and he loved it.  Morgan slept almost the whole rest of the way.  It should have been a great drive but then we hit some major fog.  We were in it off and on for about 4 hours. But, we finally made it. We're here!!

Halloween

We had a fun Halloween.  Kayden was supposed to be a construction worker, but he wouldn't wear his hat or the tools so he just looked like a trashy little kid.  We got him a Thomas the Train costume (he's obsessed with him) for the last day and Morgan was a cute little witch/bat.  Tyler and I even dressed up for the ward Trunk-or-Treat this year!

Our awesome costumes!!

Trick-or-Treating

Kayden's little friend, Tyler, was Sir Topam Hatt. They were really cute together

Morgan trying on Kayden's costume, it didn't quite fit!

Morgan's Ear Tubes

It's seemed that every couple of months Morgan gets an ear infection. And flying back and forth to Utah doesn't help matters. So we (along with the doctor, of course) decided it was time for ear tubes.

Patiently waiting for everything to start

She obviously didn't appreciate this part

A little loopy after taking the versed(a happy medicine, helps her forget what's going on)

She was so funny on it

Daddy happened to be doing a rotation at the same hospital we were at so the doctor he was with let Tyler off his first surgery so he could be with us.

Playing with the toys while they were getting her room ready

After.  The actual surgery took less than 10 minutes. It was great.
Since she's had her tubes in she's been sick a couple times and when I would take her in, the doc would say that if we wouldn't have put tubes in she would have had a couple of raging ear infections. She's been a happier girl!! Yay!!
