Random Kayden Pictures

He's such a ham.

He's got a long ways to go before he fills daddy's shoes!

Whenever we would go to one of our friend's houses Kayden would make a beeline for these cars, but, because he's kind of a pansy and doesn't quite know how to stick up for himself yet, he would always get bumped out of the way by more...um...persistant...kids.  But for the few moments he had alone with it he was in car heaven.  Open the door, step in, shut the door.  Open the door, step out, shut the door.  Again and again.
So we decided to spoil him and get him his very own car so he can play in it all he wants.  It has turned out to be our best purchase for him yet.  The other day he pushed it into the bathroom while I was in the shower.  Awesome.
So this is our child.  Sitting in his new ride watching 'Toy Story' on Tyler's ipod.

When's a good time to teach your kid that driving and watching movies just isn't safe?

Holy Fat Rolls, Batman!

Today was Morgan's 2 month well check. I knew she was 'healthy' but oh my goodness! She's 23 1/2 inches and.....13 lbs 5 oz! Again I say, how can two siblings be so different! Kayden didn't hit 13 lbs until he was about 4 months!! Kayden was in the 25th percentile at 2 months and Morgan is in the 95th! The doc said Morgan is in perfect health. Yay! Now if we could just get her on a decent schedule. Any kind of schedule would be nice, really.

Kirtland, Cleveland and Morgan's Blessing

Kirtland - A few weeks ago we decided to take a quick trip up to visit some church history sites.

I wish like crazy the LDS church owned the Kirtland Temple, but the Church of Christ does keep it up very well and the tour was really neat.

Stopping to smell the flowers

The church does own a whole block of sites that we were also able to tour including the Newel K. Whitney store, a schoolhouse, a couple homes and a lumber mill.

This is the Johnson farm about 30 minutes outside Kirtland. Joseph Smith was staying here when he was dragged out by the mob and tarred and feathered.

Cleveland - I didn't realize it was only 10 minutes outside of Kirtland so we took an afternoon and went to see what it had to offer. We just ended up walking around downtown for about 2 hours. It was actually one of the highlights of the trip. I couldn't believe how clean it was. And it had some of the coolest buildings ever. And lots of little parks.

The Cadillac of strollers. I love this thing. It's long but oh so wonderful.

We found this amazing lakeside park that was half dock, half grass. We played there for a long time.
Kayden spent most the time chasing seagulls. He got surprisingly close a couple times.

Morgan's Blessing - Just a couple days after coming home from our Kirtland mini-trip we flew to Utah to bless Morgan. We blessed her in Tyler's parent's ward on Aug 16th. I was sitting on the end of the bench so I had to stand up to let out the guys when it was time and I teared up when I looked over and saw nothing but women and kids left in the two benches we occupied. Every man there was a worthy priesthood holder. Awesome. I love the gospel.
These wonderful men were Brady(Tyler's brother), Troy(Tyler's brother), Justin(Tyler's bro-in-law), Tyler, Grandpa T(Tyler's dad), Grandpa W(my dad), Great-Grandpa I(my grandpa, Morgan's only surviving great-grandpa), Landon(my brother), and Shawn(my brother).

Kisses!

These pics were taken just a couple of days ago. Only two months old and she's already 12 lbs! She's in the 95th percentile for her age. She's exactly half the size of Kayden who's 24 lbs and only in the 25th percentile. It's crazy how different two siblings can be!
