Seattle mini vacation

Tyler had a few days in between taking(and passing!!) his boards so we decided to take a little vacation to Seattle, which is just a few hours drive from us.  We stayed 2 nights and did a lot!

It was super windy and Morgan did not appreciate it.

Next we went to the Science Museum.  It was probably the best one I've been too.

They had a great Kids Discovery area

That's a REAL starfish! It was so neat!  There were several different ones you could touch. The clear box had a bunch of hermit crabs in it.  They have to keep them separate otherwise the starfish will eat the crabs. Crazy, huh?!

 On the tram.  This was probably Kayden's favorite part. He LOVED riding the 'train'.

At the Museum of Flight.  The kids area had real planes you could play on.

They also had old planes you could walk through.  There was a retired Concorde, the fasted passenger plane made.  It could get from London to New York in 3 1/2 hours.  They served prime rib dinner on china.  Tickets were $8000 round trip. 

There was also a retired Air Force One.

We also went to the Seattle Aquarium but somehow I didn't get any pictures of that.  I really liked the aquarium.  The had some octopus (what in the world is the plural for octopus? octopuses? octopi?). Anyway, they were really neat to see and learn about.  And they had an even bigger interactive aquarium with more starfish and anemones(like what Nemo lives in) you could touch.  Some of the starfish were slimy and some were hard like touching a bumpy shell.  And the amenomes were mostly slimy, some would feel sticky because their teeny tiny feelers would grab on to you.

It was so nice to go somewhere and explore.  There was so much to do in Seattle and we didn't even get half of it done.  We'll definitely be going back again.
