I'm so behind. Oh well.
My brother Shawn and his fiance Laura drove our van out to us. They had to drive the 25 hour drive straight through so they didn't have to worry about who would sleep where and all that fun stuff. The drive isn't that bad until the last couple hours. They are the worst. Anyway they got here on a Saturday afternoon. Most of the rest of the day was just lazing around for them, a short nap and some Wii.
Sunday I actually had to speak in sacrament meeting so they had the wonderful opportunity(ha!) to hear me talk on this subject. (it was so great to talk on a subject that I had already had half of the talk written!) Later that day we went to the Falls of the Ohio State Park and explored.
Monday we went to Schimphffs Candy store(they have a little area where you can watch them make the candy), the Louisville Slugger Museum, ate lunch at Rally's and then it was home again for Kayden's nap and more Wii! Shawn got pretty addicted to Mario Cart. That afternoon we went to a town about 30 minutes away where Laura's bestest friend happens to be serving a mission! We took pictures around the town, bought Papa Murphy's gift certificates, and put them in her mail box. When they got home, they printed off the pics and sent them to her. She pretty much freaked out! It was great fun.
Tuesday we went to Churchill Downs and learned about horsies! It was pretty cool. Then we went and ate at this place called Lynns Paradise Cafe. It's so ecentric! And delicious! Then it was off to see the Louisville Temple. After that, we went home and let Kayden nap and just took the rest of the day off. And played Wii.
Wednesday was their flight home so we just went out to lunch and then off the the airport. It was a short visit, but it was so fun to have them here!! I'm so excited to have Laura as a new sister in just two short months!

What a romp! I love it when relatives come into town and you have an excuse to just PLAY! And your Louisville Temple could be the Medford Temple -- except for the stairs, it's the spittin' image! (Except it doesn't sound respectful to say "spit" in regards to a temple....so I'll just say, they look the same!)
How fun!!! I want to come and play! It looks like you guys had lots and lots of fun. Can't wait to see you guys in two months!!! Hooray!
Wow, those are great pics!! I love, love, LOVE the one of Kayden on the calf; but also the one with Tyler holding him at the falls. And the sunglasses?...Cracks me up!!! Sooooo cute. Bring me my baby!!
...also, it looks like you and Tyler were perfect hosts to your guests. They had a great time and you guys made lasting memories!!! How fun! We are soooo happy to have Laura in the family. She's the best. (Shawn's ok too)
